VUJE, a.s. hosted the ENIQ 2024 autumn meeting

Our expert in non-destructive testing, Roman Krajčovič, actively contributed to the work of ENIQ , which is recognized as a leading forum for the exchange of information on non-destructive testing in European nuclear power plants and as an important contributor in the field of qualifications.

The participants had the opportunity to visit our premises at Zavarská Street 11B, where we have presented VUJE activities. Our solutions in the development and production of manipulators for automated inspection and maintenance of nuclear power plant components, as well as our expertise in non-destructive testing and qualifications, garnered significant interest.

ENIQ also serves as an informal exchange forum for issues related to non-destructive testing at European nuclear power plants and is recognized as one of the main contributors to the field of qualifications. Originally, ENIQ was an independent network managed by the JRC, and in 2012 it became Technical Area 8 of the NUGENIA network.

NUGENIA - The Alliance for Nuclear Energy of Generation II and III is dedicated to the research and development of nuclear fission technologies, focusing on the safe and efficient operation of Generation II and III nuclear power plants. NUGENIA covers 8 main technical areas. One of them, the eighth in order, is Technical Area 8 - the European Network for Inspection Qualification (ENIQ). Essentially, it is a service-oriented network that primarily works in the field of qualification of non-destructive testing (NDT) systems and risk-informed in-service inspection (RI-ISI) for nuclear power plants (NPPs).

The meeting agenda included, among other things, the development of several new working handbooks, technical documents, and recommendations in the field of non-destructive testing qualifications. The sessions also involved preparations for the international conferences NDE in ENIQ participants praised the excellent organization of the meetings and the productive working atmosphere.

Thank you to all participants, and we look forward to further collaboration!
